2009-01-29 [wicked fae mage]: I love drawin with pencil, then outlinin everythin with a fine tip sharpie pen, erasin the extra lines and colorin everythin with colored pencil.

I've also been playin around with scannin them after they're inked and colorin them with photoshop to see different outcomes with different color combinations.

2009-01-29 [Galatea]: I tend to do the same thing, sketch it out with pencil, ink it and then color it with marker. :) Moira has a good point as well, you and I should experiment with just using the sketch and coloring stages and see how everything looks. :) One thing I like about inking is that it really cleans up the lines of the work, but there can really be something said about using contrast with colors and shading to do your outlines.

2009-01-29 [wicked fae mage]: My work is sketchy and gawd awful while solely pencil except for one sketch that I can't find *whines* It's a black, white and grey grim reaper that is solely pencil. I want to find it so badly.

I'd be happy to experiment but I fear messin up somethin good by doin that. And I reallize that I'm slippin back into a southern drawl again thanks to Brett XD

2009-01-29 [moira hawthorne]: HA! talk to me! check out my pencil lines! I have *terrible* line art... so I made it my style... instead of having weak line art... I keep the sketch quality and use it...

there arent neat uniform lines around anything in real life...

so scan your pencil drawing and try it while colouring on photoshop... you can have the pencil sketch as a layor... and delete it even if you dont like it... once you have coloured...

2009-01-29 [wicked fae mage]: I have no idea how to do anythin with layers in photoshop. I can clone stam fairly well (I'll put a link to my photo manips mage in my house) and color somewhat. I like playin with effects and brush strokes with photos, too.
